lukeslobster:

Our first tale of lobster lovin’ blossoms just as the very first Luke’s Lobster was blossoming in its own right in the East Village. A pair of friends, Kristin and Ty, decided it was time to reach down and see if that friendship was really something more. The lobsterman on the East Village wall watched over them like a Downeast Cupid as they bought their lobster rolls and headed towards Tompkins Square Park. Here’s the story in Kristin’s words…

“Ty and I had our first date at Luke’s Lobster. We picked up our rolls and went to Tompkins Square Park to eat them and enjoy the day. Ty remembers being so nervous that he couldn’t even eat and he almost threw out half of his lobster roll. When I saw this half roll being taken towards the trash, I leapt towards it, saved it, and promptly ate the rest of it. See, I had had my very first lobster roll ever the day before (I’ve yet to get one anywhere else because it would be a total disappointment.) and for my date with Ty, I could think of no better place to go. Now, Ty and I had known each other for a good while before this date and had been friends… And two months after that initial date, we went to Luke’s for what seemed like a normal date night. We grabbed our Lobster (mine) and Crab (his) Schooners and headed over to the park, where we would eat before heading uptown to a Colbie Caillat concert. After finishing our meal, as we were exiting the park, Ty dropped to one knee and proposed…

Luke’s is still our “go-to” date night location and we are constantly getting new co-workers and friends to give the lobster rolls a try. We can’t wait for it to warm up so we can take our rolls to the park and re-live our first date over and over again…”

Lobster rolls and Colbie Callat?!? Something’s starting in The Fox’s toes if you know what I mean. And Ty, remember: you’ll never go wrong with a girl who’s part of the clean plate club.

I leave you with a few pics of the lucky dog and his favorite food.

XOXO,

The Fox

Happy Valentine’s Day! You should celebrate by buying yourself and/or your valentine some music.

Diego Stocco:

Almost everyday, on my way to a local bakery, I walk in front of a dry cleaners. When they have the front door open, I hear a lot of interesting sounds coming from their work equipment. Eventually, the different mechanical and steam sounds sparked something in my mind, so one day I asked the owners if I could record a piece of music by using their machines as musical instruments.

The closing line in the video is just perfect.

My hopes are up because when Facebook bought FriendFeed, they brought…
